Information you enter into the Secure Field is encrypted in your computer before being sent to teamfocus. When the data comes back, it’s decoded by your computer to display again.
In order to do the encrypting, you need a key, which your computer creates and stores locally.
To allow others to see these Secure tasks (or for you to see the Secure tasks on other computers e.g. your home computer) you need to copy that key to the other computer.
To add a Secure Field to an existing or new Workflow, click the Plus “+” icon and select “Add a Field”
From the “Add Field” drop-down menu, select a “Secure Text” field
Provide a name for your Secure Field (In this example we use Social Security #) then from “Key Options” select “create new key” and click “Save Field”
You will then be presented with your new Secure Key for the field you just created.
**Please save this key to a safe place as we can never recover it, and without it you can not see your data**
